About The Position

The Garden Shop Attendant is responsible for accurately receiving, organizing, stocking, lifting, and watering incoming merchandise, supplies, and plant materials. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized receiving area, assisting with inventory, and collaborating with other team members to ensure product flow and availability. The position also emphasizes customer service and upholding the company's S.T.E.W. values.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years and older.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in outdoor/weather-exposed areas when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of garden center products is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, organize, stock, lift, and water incoming merchandise, supplies, and plant materials.
• Tag, label, and organize merchandise for stocking or special orders.
• Communicate discrepancies, damages, or missing items to management and vendors.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Collaborate with sales associates, managers, and greenhouse staff to ensure product flow and availability.
• Follow all safety standards and equipment-operation protocols.
• Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
• Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store.
