About The Position

Harrison Steel has an opening on First Shift in its Maintenance Department for a Garage Mechanic. This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining all rolling stock within our facility. The equipment you will be responsible for includes fork trucks, sweepers, maintenance carts, trucks, cars, and other heavy equipment. You'll get the chance to work on all types of equipment, from golf carts to 25,000 pound fork lifts, and from modern-day vehicles to a 1940 Ford Firetruck.

Requirements

• Prior experience in auto or industrial maintenance and repair
• Basic math and reading skills
• Valid state issued driver's license

Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining all rolling stock within the facility, including fork trucks, sweepers, maintenance carts, trucks, cars, and other heavy equipment.
