About The Position

Tip Top Garage Doors is seeking a positive, dependable, and mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician to join their Charlotte team. This is a family-run company focused on quality workmanship and honest service. While garage door experience is preferred, it is not required. The company will provide training and support for individuals with a strong work ethic and a customer-first attitude, offering a path to a rewarding long-term career.

Requirements

A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in the field
Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record
Ability to lift at least 75 pounds and work comfortably on ladders
High school diploma or equivalent
Dependability, accountability, and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Garage door installation or repair experience is preferred
ServiceTitan experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and related equipment
Inspect systems, diagnose problems, and recommend safe, effective solutions
Clearly explain repair and replacement options so customers can make informed decisions
Deliver friendly, professional service during every customer interaction
Complete accurate job documentation, including notes, photos, and diagrams
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and fellow technicians
Continue developing technical, customer-service, and problem-solving skills
