About The Position
Tip Top Garage Doors is seeking a positive, dependable, and mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician to join their Raleigh team. This is a family-run company focused on quality workmanship and honest service. Garage door experience is preferred but not required; the company will provide training for individuals with a strong work ethic and a customer-first attitude. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial garage doors and related equipment, diagnosing problems, recommending solutions, and providing professional customer service. Technicians will also be responsible for accurate job documentation and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in the field
- Valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to lift at least 75 pounds and work comfortably on ladders
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependability, accountability, and attention to detail

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and related equipment
- Inspect systems, diagnose problems, and recommend safe, effective solutions
- Clearly explain repair and replacement options so customers can make informed decisions
- Deliver friendly, professional service during every customer interaction
- Complete accurate job documentation, including notes, photos, and diagrams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and fellow technicians
- Continue developing your technical, customer-service, and problem-solving skills
