Garage Door Install Technician – Action Garage Door | Meridian, ID $25–$35 per hour based on commercial door experience and demonstrated skill level. We’re looking for a Garage Door Install Technician who understands commercial door systems, works safely, and can be counted on to deliver professional installations. This is a hands-on opportunity with plenty of variety, growth potential, and a supportive crew behind you every step of the way.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
  • Commercial door installation experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with sectional and rolling steel doors
  • Commercial operator installation experience is a plus
  • Strong mechanical and construction skills
  • Comfortable using ladders, lifts, power tools, and jobsite equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
  • Dependable, productive, and focused on quality workmanship
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs, use hand tools, and safely work on ladders
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial sectional and overhead doors
  • Install rolling steel doors and related commercial door systems
  • Install commercial operators, tracks, hardware, and accessories
  • Read measurements, work orders, plans, and manufacturer specifications
  • Properly assemble, level, secure, and adjust door systems
  • Verify proper operation and safety before leaving the jobsite
  • Identify and communicate jobsite or installation issues
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
  • Keep jobsites clean and professional
  • Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
