About The Position
The GAP Claims Adjuster provides support to internal and external contacts, including agents, clients, and customers, by adjudicating claims, providing claim statuses, and resolving claim issues. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Richardson, Texas, or Jacksonville, Florida. The role administers claims for ancillary products financed when a customer purchases a vehicle, primarily Guaranteed Automobile Protection (GAP), Total Loss Protection (TLP), and anti-theft contracts. It starts the claims process, identifies required documentation, and provides claims processing and GAP contract support.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 1 year of claims adjusting or related experience in the automotive field.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Gather and assemble claim information by contacting lenders, auto dealers, borrowers, and agents, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate for processing.
- Calculate claim proceeds according to GAP contract coverage by reviewing the borrower's loan history, MSRP/NADA valuations, and primary carrier coverage documentation.
- Handle calls from customers, lien holders, and insurance companies while providing excellent customer service.
- Submit claim calculations and supporting documentation to management for payment approval.
- Request additional documents to help determine a claim.
- Administer claims for ancillary vehicle-financed products, primarily GAP, TLP, and anti-theft contracts.
- Start the claims process and identify required documentation submitted with a request.
- Provide claims processing and GAP contract support.
- Provide claim statuses and resolve claim issues.
