About The Position

Remains present at the entrance of the racetrack and records names of every horse and trainer reporting for a workout. Records distance, the starting point and finishing points of the workout, and report this information to the appropriate Clocker. Reports any exercise rider or trainer who refuses to supply required information to the Stewards. Provide support to the receiving barn, stall office, and paddock to sustain racing operation. Ensures the horses are assembled in their correct stalls. All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 year related experience and/or training; or combination
• Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing.
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
• Written communication skills in English may also be required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
• Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
