About The Position

The Gang Operator works at the company’s sawmill in Graham, North Carolina, operating industrial machinery as part of a production team. The role involves rotating through job responsibilities within an assigned workspace, contributing to production goals, maintaining quality, and helping ensure safe and efficient operations. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday through Friday. Hourly wage and bonus opportunities vary based on position and shift.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods, including piling lumber, standing for long hours, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around environmental elements, moving mechanical equipment, loud noise, and dust.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
• High degree of urgency and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various job responsibilities and tasks within the assigned workspace on an hourly basis.
• Safely operate industrial machinery.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
• Maintain a commitment to quality throughout the production process.
• Conduct routine machinery inspections for wear, damage, or malfunction and report findings to supervisors and maintenance for preventive action.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
