About The Position

Work with a purpose! Management & Training Corporation (MTC) proudly operates the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, Texas. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years’ experience in an adult correctional environment or related field required
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management
• Fluency with speaking, understanding, interpreting, and reading the Spanish language required
• Must successfully complete required preservice training

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year prior investigation experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior supervisory experience
• Knowledge of computer software applications, narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia, report writing, and gang related information

Responsibilities

• Investigative work, identification, and validation of gang members
• Conducts detainee investigations
• Provides instruction to staff on report writing, crime scene and evidence preservation, gang identification, monitoring of potentially disruptive detainees, and the narcotics prevention program
• Coordinate with staff on the receipt and analysis of gang information
• Monitor detainee files for investigative purposes
• Compile and analyze data to prepare reports and maintain related records
• Respond to emergencies and institution disturbances
• Supervise and conduct in-depth investigations of incidents which involve criminal activity within the facility
