About The Position

The Gaming Systems Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the Internal Control System (ICS), as well as interfacing with the back-office systems (BOS) of the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL). Duties include balancing reports, reporting and documenting incidents, and performing backups and data entry. This position is at-will, and not covered by the South Carolina Employee Grievance Procedures Act.

Requirements

• An Associate’s Degree in Computer Science/IT OR a High School Diploma, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to deal courteously and effectively with others.
• Ability to understand and comprehend SCEL policies, rules, regulations and procedures.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite and apply standard system concepts.
• Punctual and reliable in regards to scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Balances Internal Control System ICS and BOS draw financial reports.
• Performs draw break operations.
• Monitors ICS and BOS systems performance during data entry, reports noted anomalies.
• Updates website, phone line and e-mail with draw results.
• Maintains contact with SCEL Draw Manager and vendor.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
