About The Position

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Gaming Information Systems Manager. The preferred schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The listed wage reflects the entry-level rate for this position. Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, education, and qualifications. This role is responsible for the administration, security, maintenance, and support of the Surveillance and Gaming Agency's information technology infrastructure, network environment, surveillance systems, and related technology resources. The manager will oversee cybersecurity, user access management, system performance, technology projects, and regulatory compliance while ensuring the reliability, integrity, and availability of critical Gaming Agency systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Network Administration or a closely related field. Equivalent combinations of education, industry certifications, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of (5) years of progressively responsible experience of information technology administration, network management, cybersecurity, or systems administration.
  • Experience with CJIS compliant environments, managing firewalls, servers, backups, and cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Outlook, Office applications, server administration, user account management, group policies, email administration, identity and access management, multi-factor authentication, and endpoint security.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Must have a complete and well-rounded knowledge of information systems, network infrastructure, project management, competency in the development environment, as well as knowledge and application of the system development lifecycle.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical orientation; intellectual curiosity and unstructured problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator or equivalent Microsoft certification required within (12) months of hire.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Must obtain CJIS Security Awareness Training upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of (2) years in supervisory, lead, or management role preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco, VMware, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage information technology and computer systems for the Surveillance and Gaming Agency
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Identify technology deficiencies, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement; implement strategic solutions and system enhancements.
  • Conducts routine system monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Oversees installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, databases, Gaming/Surveillance Systems.
  • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform network design, capacity planning, configuration and installation.
  • Coordinates vendor support, service contracts, and technology procurements, component inventory, technical documentation, and system specifications.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains IT SOP’S, disaster recovery plans, incident response plans, and system security protocols.
  • Oversee and coordinate technology projects, including system upgrades, data migrations, implementations, and planned outages.
  • Administers and manages the Gaming Agency’s Microsoft Outlook and email environment, including user accounts, permissions, distribution groups, mailbox management, retention settings, and security configurations.
  • Monitors and maintains email system security, spam filtering, phishing protection
  • Create, or query reports in response to business needs.
  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of the budget
  • Responds to system outages, emergencies, cybersecurity incidents, and operational disruptions as necessary.
  • Provide supervision, direction, work assignments, training, and performance management for Gaming Information Systems Agents.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and training to Gaming Agency personnel.
  • Maintains compliance with applicable Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Regulations, Tribal-State Compact, NIGC MICS, TICS, CJIS Security policy, and all applicable Federal, Tribal and State Regulations.
  • Other duties assigned by the Executive Gaming Director or Redding Rancheria Gaming Commission
