About The Position

Responsible for the successful overall implementation, management, and coordination of all gaming functions of the Seminole Nation Gaming Enterprise (SNGE) in accordance with the established Mission, Policies and goals. The Gaming Enterprise Manager shall be responsible for oversight and management of three (3) Casino Facilities owned by the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma and all Administrative Support Directors thereof. The GEM independently reports to the SNGE Executive Board. The ultimate objective of this position is to help advance the Seminole Nation by delivering value and signature moments every day.

Requirements

  • Prior experience or training in the operation or regulation of a tribal gaming operation or casino
  • A post-graduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, finance, accounting, banking, finance or other business-related degree programs, Plus a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in gaming, business administration, business management, accounting or other business-related field
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited school in any other field with at least five (5) years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and supports a work environment/culture focused on building high-trust relationships by extending support and respect to all.
  • Supervising and assisting all department leaders to ensure timely, successful organizational strategy, setting objectives for successful operating results and future growth.
  • Supervising and assisting in the preparation of a Comprehensive Budget and Plan of Operation and reporting to the General Council of the Seminole Nation monthly, or as requested regarding financial and operations matters.
  • Supporting the Development and implementation all policies and procedures related to the operational activities and functions of the Gaming Enterprise and its facilities.
  • Providing guidance, support, advice, and assistance to the Director of Marketing to ensure timely, successful promotions and compliance with rules and regulations of Seminole Nation Gaming Agency.
  • Supervising and assisting the Director of Operations with managing the day-to-day affairs of the 3 Casino Facilities.
  • Supervising and assisting the Director of Gaming to ensure optimal machine mix and placement throughout Casino Facilities.
  • Supervising and assisting the Director of Human Resources in developing Personnel Policies to ensure policies, procedures and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws, overseeing all human resources functions to SNGE Enterprises concerning recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations.
  • Supervising and assisting the Director of Information Technology (IT) and its department’s communication within SNGE and Vendors on specific needs and/or problems.
  • Supervising and assisting the Director of Gaming operational and support expertise in systems, systems data, data analytics, data discovery, report development and reporting requirements.
  • Works to ensure a high quality of management operations in all areas of the organization.
  • Monitoring business unit performance, including growth in revenue, implementing corrective actions to assure that operations remain within budget and are on track to achieve financial targets.
  • Establishing executive management teams for special projects, activities and functions requiring multi-disciplinary expertise, such as the planning, development, construction projects; and strategic planning.
  • Authorizing and/or approving expenditures, disbursements, and contracts pursuant to the approved Policies of the SNGE and the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the organization. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring of executive team; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Has managerial responsibility for the entire organization.
  • Requires the highest level of decision-making within the operating entity or function.
  • Maintains a strict level of confidentiality regarding company information.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and be able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner.
