The Game Room Attendant is responsible for servicing and building relationships with guests by paying hand-pay jackpots, exchanging currency, and performing minor repairs on historical horse racing (HHR) machines. Additionally, the Game Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and optimum presentation of the facility. This role provides next-level guest service, protects company assets by adhering to policies and regulatory compliance, and maintains the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of HHR machines. The attendant also ensures gaming devices are operating properly, performs minor repairs, promotes the players’ card, changes ticket paper, writes jackpot forms, notifies managers of irregularities, and performs general cleaning of carpets, windows, gaming machines, and restrooms. The role requires adherence to OSHA and Hazcom safe work practices, maintaining confidentiality, and staying knowledgeable of gaming laws and company policies. Problem resolution within the scope of authority and communication with supervisors are also key responsibilities.
