The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking a hardworking, outdoor-driven Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1 to help build, maintain, and enhance Pennsylvania's game lands and wildlife habitats. In this role, you will operate heavy equipment, construct and repair infrastructure, help manage habitat projects, assist with prescribed fires, and work across forests, fields, and rugged terrain to support healthy ecosystems and public access. As a Game Lands Maintenance Worker 1, you will perform the following duties: Build Infrastructure: Construct and repair game land infrastructure such as bridges, roads, parking areas, gates, signs, and public ranges Operate Equipment: Safely use heavy equipment and tools to complete maintenance and habitat management tasks Help Habitat Projects: Assist with mowing, habitat management projects, and other field tasks essential to maintaining safe, accessible, and wildlife-friendly environments Support Teamwork: Work closely with field staff to ensure game lands remain in excellent condition for wildlife and the public.
