About The Position

The Game Day Assistant student employee assists event operations staff with game day duties for Lindenwood Athletics home events and outside rentals. The role supports the University’s mission and service culture while helping prepare and operate event spaces, assist spectators, and deliver a positive game day experience. The position is open to students eligible for Federal Work Study as well as non-FWS students; 50% of available positions are reserved for FWS students.

The position is scheduled for 15 hours per week over 36 weeks, beginning the Monday two weeks before the fall term starts and continuing through Graduation. It is fully on-ground and involves work in a general office setting, athletic fields, and arenas. Evening and weekend work is required.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at Lindenwood University.
• In good academic and financial standing with the University.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regular in-person attendance.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission of the University and serve as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence.
• Model, support, and hold others accountable to the University’s values.
• Prepare fields and arenas for competitions by setting up bleachers, camera equipment, benches, and other items.
• Prepare and operate concession stands during events.
• Assist with promotional activities during events.
• Operate scoreboards and video boards.
• Greet spectators and accept tickets.
• Work closely with coaches on game day activities.
• Sell tickets for home events.
• Collaborate with fellow workers to provide an optimal game day experience.
• Assist in executing on-field promotions.
• Clean up after events, including removing trash and breaking down bleachers, benches, and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
