About The Position

The Galvanizing Associate is responsible for applying coating paint to a variety of pipes and parts. This role involves loading and unloading the paint line, monitoring operations, making necessary adjustments, and recording operational data. The associate will also perform basic maintenance of equipment, conduct cleaning and color changes while preventing contamination, and inspect completed workpieces for defects to ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, the role requires assisting others in all paint operations, ensuring safety guidelines are followed, inspecting painted parts against engineering standards, and reading work orders to understand specifications such as materials, dimensions, tolerances, and labeling. The position also involves selecting and using lifting and rigging equipment, including overhead cranes, to safely move materials.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must demonstrate an ability to follow written instructions
Strong written and verbal communication skills as required to discuss training, general direction, and other operational related tasks

Responsibilities

Apply coating paint to a variety of pipes/parts.
Load and unload paint line, monitor operations, make adjustments, and record operational data.
Perform basic maintenance of equipment as required.
Perform cleaning and color changes as required with the ability to avoid contamination.
Inspect completed workpieces for defects as required to maintain quality standards.
Assist others in all paint operations.
Ensure safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environment.
Inspect painted parts to engineering standards.
Read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, dimensions and tolerances, proper labeling of parts, etc.
Select and use a variety of lifting and rigging with overhead cranes to safely move materials.
