About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining gallon filling machines, ensuring efficiency, product quality, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role involves monitoring product quality, maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, and collaborating with various departments. Overtime may be required to meet production needs. The operator must also perform quality assurance tests, maintain a clean work area, and display professionalism and reliability.

Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent.
Flexibility to work flexible schedules with changing start times when needed.
Customer service oriented attitude.
Good attendance record.
Solid understanding of GMP, and state/federal regulations and practices.
Ability to work well with others.

Nice To Haves

Be familiar with the operational aspects of all filling machines and cleaning those machines.
Be efficient in minimizing down time of machinery.
Overtime will be required as needed to fulfill bottling needs.
Must be safety conscious.
Team player.
Must be flexible to changes.
Decision-maker and performance oriented.
Problem solving.
Must work within strict operating standards to meet Prairie Farms, state and federal guidelines.
Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

Operate and clean all filling machines.
Minimize machinery downtime.
Follow established practices for cleaning the work area.
Monitor product quality to ensure early detection of problems.
Maintain communication with co-workers to coordinate run schedules.
Complete all duties in a manner consistent with GMP, state and federal regulations, and company/plant safety policies.
Perform all established quality assurance tests utilized in the lab.
Order and receive packaging and ingredients.
Maintain open communications with Utility People, Receiving, Processing, Filling and Blow Mold operators.
Display a high level of professionalism.
Maintain a proven attendance/reliability record.
Perform other duties as assigned.
