About The Position

Carpenters Workshop Gallery is opening a new location in Los Angeles and is seeking a Gallery Intern. This role involves welcoming guests, introducing the gallery program, giving exhibition tours, and providing administrative, logistical, and organizational support to the team. The intern will also handle client-facing situations, manage visitor information in the database, ensure the gallery and artworks are presentable, maintain inventory, assist with office upkeep, and support event preparation and execution. The position also includes collaborating with global interns on company-wide projects and performing other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the US
Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week
Must be a current student or recent graduate
Must be passionate about contemporary art and design
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Previous internship experience in a gallery or museum setting
Familiarity with art databases or CRM systems
Experience with social media platforms

Responsibilities

Welcome guests to the Gallery
Introduce the gallery program and give exhibition tours as requested
Provide administrative, logistical, and organizational support to the team
Handle client-facing situations on a day-to-day basis
Register visitor information in the database when required and keep it up to date
Ensure the gallery and artworks are presentable and tidy
Maintain gallery inventory of books and samples and mail gifts and samples as requested
General office upkeep
Assist with event preparation and execution
Work with global interns on company-wide projects
Other tasks as assigned by your manager
