About The Position

The Gallery Host provides hotel guests with a full range of individualized service during their stay. The role includes front-desk and guest-service activities such as greeting and registering guests, handling requests and inquiries, arranging reservations and transportation, processing payments, and supporting a positive in-room dining experience. The position also serves as a private lounge host and works toward improving guest satisfaction. The role offers a potential career path to Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator, and then to Front Office Manager or Sales Manager. The position is at Hotel 48LEX, part of HHM Hotels’ Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience or equivalent training is required.
A dynamic, engaging, and passionate personality with the ability to multitask.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and register hotel guests and assign rooms.
Verify customers’ credit and establish payment methods.
Make and confirm external reservations for dinner, entertainment, and transportation.
Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
Answer the hotel phone and handle guest requests and inquiries.
Transmit and receive messages using telephones or the PMS system.
Deposit guests’ valuables in hotel safes or safe-deposit boxes.
Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts.
Serve food in guest rooms upon request and help ensure a positive in-room dining experience.
Act as a private lounge host.
Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
