About The Position

The Gallery Host provides guests with a full range of individualized service during their hotel stay. The role includes welcoming and registering guests, handling payments and inquiries, arranging external reservations and transportation, supporting in-room dining, and serving as a private lounge host. The host practices safe work habits, contributes to guest satisfaction, and performs other duties as requested by management. The work schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience or equivalent training is required.
A dynamic, engaging, and passionate personality with the ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet, register, and assign rooms to hotel guests.
Verify customers’ credit and establish payment methods.
Make and confirm external reservations for dinner, entertainment, and transportation.
Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
Answer the hotel phone and handle guest requests and inquiries.
Transmit and receive messages using telephones or the PMS system.
Deposit guests’ valuables in hotel safes or safe-deposit boxes.
Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts.
Serve food in guest rooms upon request and help ensure a positive in-room dining experience.
Act as a private lounge host.
Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
