About The Position

This role supports all products and customers by setting up, issuing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting gages, measuring, and testing equipment. The position involves reviewing and interpreting drawings, process sheets/routings, operating instructions, and specifications. The individual will assist and instruct associates in the proper use of gages and measuring equipment, maintain accurate daily inspection records, and keep work areas and equipment neat and orderly. Responsibilities include performing testing and inspections using various instruments to determine conformance to specifications, processing associated documents, and performing all assigned tasks accurately with attention to detail. The role also involves training other associates in safety, quality, inspection, and testing, and potentially handling regulated waste in accordance with federal/state regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Basic math & computer skills.
  • Tooling & Master Selection / Storage.
  • Check in / out of Gage Control System.
  • Setup, adjust, and maintain ID/OD/TD/TL Gages.
  • Basic calibration (bore pin, micrometers’s, etc.).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Solid training and mentoring skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Situational/Spatial awareness.
  • Strict adherence to PPE/safety protocols is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic gage maintenance.
  • Set up and basic troubleshooting on Mfg or Assy gages.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting and instructing associates in the proper use of gages, measuring, and testing equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete daily inspection records.
  • Maintaining work areas and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Performing testing/inspections utilizing various test instruments and processes following established plans to determine conformance to specifications.
  • Processing associated documents as required and specified.
  • Performing all tasks accurately with attention to detail per drawings, specifications, or other operational instructions.
  • Training other associates in safety, quality, inspection, testing, etc., as required.
  • Generating and/or handling regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste and disposing of it in accordance with federal/state regulations.
