About The Position

This role is responsible for monitoring the calibration status of all measurement, gaging, and inspection equipment within the plant. This includes managing safety stock of hand gauges, coordinating with external contractors for third-party calibration, and maintaining accurate records of calibration certificates and gauge tracking software. The position also involves assisting Manufacturing Engineering with OK/NG master parts, conducting audits to ensure compliance with gauge control procedures, and working with the maintenance department to maintain equipment calibration schedules. Additionally, the role requires organizing and conducting measurement systems analysis for gauge families.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of calibration status monitoring for measurement, gaging, and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to maintain safety stock of hand gauges.
  • Experience coordinating with outside contractors for calibration.
  • Proficiency in maintaining calibration certificates, risk assessments, and gauge tracking software.
  • Skill in assisting with OK/NG master parts.
  • Experience maintaining logs of devices and coordinating validation activities.
  • Ability to examine devices and record calibration activities.
  • Experience conducting audits of shop floor compliance.
  • Familiarity with maintenance department collaboration for calibration schedules.
  • Experience organizing and conducting measurement systems analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the calibration status of all measurement, gaging, and inspection equipment, including nut runners, load cells, and LVDTs.
  • Maintains safety stock of hand gauges and replaces shop floor gauges due for calibration.
  • Coordinates with outside contractors for third-party calibration of gauges.
  • Maintains accurate calibration certificates, risk assessments, and gauge tracking software.
  • Assists Manufacturing Engineering with OK/NG master parts.
  • Maintains a log of measurement and gaging devices and coordinates periodic validation activities.
  • Examines measurement and gaging devices at prescribed intervals and records calibration activities.
  • Conducts frequent audits of the shop floor and other areas to ensure compliance with gauge control procedures.
  • Works with the maintenance department to maintain the calibration schedule for manufacturing equipment.
  • Organizes and conducts measurement systems analysis for gauge families.
