About The Position

The Janitor ensures that restrooms, locker rooms, main building areas, stairways, elevators, lobby, and exterior grounds meet contractual expectations. This includes cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies, emptying trash, and maintaining the cleanliness of various surfaces and equipment. The role also involves washing and drying cleaning rags and mop heads, maintaining professional conduct, and performing other job-related duties as required by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all operational and safety procedures are properly followed, maintaining a clean and safe work area utilizing effective time management skills.
• Ensures restrooms and locker rooms are presentable for usage through the performance of functions such as inspecting restrooms, identifying supplies needed for restocking, cleaning mirrors, sinks, countertops, shower areas, walls, and toilets, refilling soap dispensers, replenishing paper products, emptying trash containers, cleaning urinals, and sweeping and mopping floors.
• Ensures Main Building, stairways, elevators, and Lobby are clean and presentable through the performance of functions such as cleaning walls, windows, doors, displays, and furniture, cleaning and disinfecting water fountains, emptying trash containers, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet flooring, and sweeping and blowing entrances into the building.
• Ensures Grounds and Exterior areas meet contractual expectations by keeping entrance doors and windows clean, keeping sidewalks and walkways clear of litter and debris, and emptying all trash cans and taking them to the dumpster.
• Replenishes supplies as requested in appropriate areas.
• Washes and dries rags and mop heads.
• Maintains professional conduct in accordance with WSC policy.
• Performs other job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
