About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a Bachelor's Degree in another field with an Associate's Degree in ECE, a Technical College Diploma or Certificate in ECE, a Montessori Teaching Diploma accredited by MACTE, or a valid Preschool CDA credential.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by GA Dept of Early Care and Learning and aligning with the objectives of the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families, fostering strong bonds and supporting comprehensive development.
  • Design and execute learning experiences that encompass physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress, tailoring the curriculum to meet individual needs, including those with disabilities.
  • Uphold health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure and clean environment by adhering to strict procedures for hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.
