Requirements

  • Can pass a background check
  • Have a High School Diploma
  • Hold at least one of the following qualifications: a Technical Certificate of Credit in early childhood education, a Specialist degree or PhD, a Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the GaPSC, a Master's degree in any field, a Georgia teacher certificate, a CDA credential, and a Bachelor's or Associate degree in any field.
  • Genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the GA Pre-K Lead Teacher oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the GA Dept of Early Care and Learning, and aligning with the objectives of the current GA Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and their families, helping to forge strong, supportive relationships.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of learning experiences that promote various developmental domains, such as physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive abilities, and creative expression.
  • Observe and assess the children's development, aiding in the customization of curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Guide young learners, ensuring a future filled with endless possibilities.
