The position is based at our Longueuil location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship, currently pursuing a degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software, or systems engineering.
  • Be able to work on-site in Longueuil, Quebec.
  • A proactive mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn in a safety-critical environment
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within technical teams
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to synthesize complex technical information
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and structured documentation
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following: Python (e.g., Flask), JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PHP, or Microsoft VBA
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., GitHub) and basic knowledge of software or network systems is an asset
  • Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Support safety and reliability analyses, including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Assist in evaluating system, software, and fire safety risks across aerospace projects
  • Contribute to forward-looking safety risk assessments and predictive analyses
  • Update and enhance internal tools developed in Python and Microsoft VBA
  • Apply and expand mathematical concepts related to system reliability and risk modeling
  • Analyze technical data and help identify potential failure points and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with lead analysts and the department manager on ongoing safety studies
  • Document methodologies, results, and findings in clear, structured, and accessible formats
  • Translate complex engineering concepts into well-organized technical reports and presentations
  • Participate in team discussions, reviews, and continuous improvement of safety processes
