The G Driver's role is to help customers safely get the equipment they need, focusing on listening, responding quickly, and showing care to ensure every customer has a good experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year driving and delivery experience.
  • Valid G-Class Driver’s License with clean abstract.
  • Must be able to lift and load up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • Competencies to include, safe driving, ability to reverse a truck using mirrors only, the ability to raise and lower the hydraulic bed on a single axle truck.
  • Ability to use for single pieces of equipment, skid steer loaders, or multiple smaller scissor lifts, heating equipment delivery and pickup, propane delivery and pick up.
  • Wear a Hard hat safely and as per regulations.
  • Wear Steel toed boots safely and as per regulations.
  • Wear a High Vis vest or uniform safely and as per regulations.
  • Wear Safety glasses safely and as per regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load, transport and operate various products including but not limited to equipment fleet, heating fleet and fuels/propane bottles and explain their operation to customers.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured and loaded and unloaded in a safe manner within the time parameters given by the customer.
  • Responsible for 9,000 lb max haul category in up to an F450 truck.
  • Provide solutions-based service and any necessary instructions and assist customers where required.
  • Immediately advise manager of all customer complaints.
  • Ensure equipment being picked-up is not damaged and all appropriate accessories are with the tools.
  • Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Remain professional both in conduct and appearance.
  • Follow all paperwork procedures related to the delivery and pick-up of products for customers.
  • Maintain all inventory control documents to preserve the integrity of the Rental Management computer system.
  • Complete all reports related to vehicle usage such as run sheets, inspection reports and maintenance.
  • Complete a daily truck inspection at the start of the day and keep it on file.
  • Fill the vehicle up with fuel at the end of every day.
  • Ensure the vehicle’s yearly inspection is up to date (yellow sticker).
  • Ensure all tie down gear is in compliance with MTO.
  • Report any damage or maintenance that has to be done on the vehicle to manager.
  • Ensures truck run sheets are legible and daily inspection form is stapled to run sheet daily.
  • Check in with manager for duties and/or activities that need to be completed when not on delivery, such as pre-loading, equipment checks, etc.
  • Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle, store/OSC, and areas outside the store/OSC.
  • Adhere to any and all customer safety standards when on-site.
  • Follow the Safety Commitments, PPE requirements and all SOPs and Policies as laid out by Stephenson’s and governing laws.
  • Report any unsafe working conditions and ensuring that they and their co-workers at all levels of work are wearing their PPE and following our SOPs and policies.
