About The Position

This job is a Federal Work Study, non-benefited position in the Student Affairs Division that reports to the Assistant Director of Disability Services at the Lawrenceville campus. Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federally funded program by the Department of Education. This program provides part-time jobs for undergraduate students with significant financial need and is administered by the FWS Coordinator, and the Office of Financial Aid, in accordance with the law, federal regulations, and with instructions from the United States Department of Education.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be eligible for funds through the Federal Work Study Program for the current semester at Gwinnett Technical College and be in good academic standing.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be eligible for funds through the Federal Work Study Program for the current semester at Gwinnett Technical College.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED - Financial need and PELL eligible - Be enrolled as a student at the location seeking employment - Satisfactory academic progress for Federal Student Aid programs

Nice To Haves

• One year of office experience.
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours and be able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an office assistant and/or a classroom note-taker for credit students.
• Assist with Inventory, stocking, and distributing food for the food pantry.
• Assist special populations services and disability services staff with special projects.
• Assists in organizing and executing routine activities and special projects; other duties as assigned.
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
