About The Position

The FWS Audio Visual Student Assistant provides support for classroom, conference room, event, and AV operations services. This position serves as a first point of contact for AV support requests and assists with day-to-day operational needs. The FWS AV Student Assistant may also assist with general administrative tasks, inventory tracking, equipment organization, documentation, and other duties that support AV services. Supported spaces primarily include classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and event locations.

Requirements

Must have the Federal Work Study Award
Must be an active/enrolled USF student
Basic computer skills
Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, and work independently or as part of a team
Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software; ability to learn office systems
This position requires strong customer service skills, reliability, attention to details, basic technical troubleshooting ability, and a willingness to learn AV systems and support processes
Must have current work authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in customer service, office work or audio visual troubleshooting
Knowledge of data entry systems or specialized departmental tools
Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Responding to classroom and conference room AV issues
Monitoring and managing ticket queues
Assisting operations' Staff
Support project management tasks
Providing event support such as starting AV systems, testing equipment, and remaining available during events as needed.
Assist with general administrative tasks, inventory tracking, equipment organization, documentation, and other duties that support AV services.
