About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. The US Medical Affairs, Payer & Health Systems Summer Intern is part of our company Research Laboratories. The intern in this position will gain a broad understanding of Medical Affairs and access/reimbursement in US Health Systems (e.g., payers, integrated delivery networks) across our company’s Specialty, Pharma, ID & Vaccines portfolio through collaborative leadership experiences. The intern will partner with internal Payer & Health Systems (PHS) colleagues to develop and update scientific engagement priorities, review and share insights with key internal stakeholders, and contribute to resource and training planning of the PHS field team. In addition, the intern will monitor for updates to both internal and competitor data and regulatory action across therapeutic areas to appropriately update the PHS Field Engagement Plan(s). The intern will gain valuable experience in working within a matrixed organization of several internal stakeholders. This position would best suit someone with an interest in various therapeutic areas (infectious diseases, vaccines, general medicine, cardiovascular disease, etc.), market access principles, and medical affairs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing or a doctorate level clinical/ health science degree.
  • Returning to school in Fall 2027.
  • Available to work full-time for 12 weeks from May 24 – August 13, 2027.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Self-driven and hard-working.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and / or managed care.
  • Research and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular, infectious diseases, vaccines, pulmonology or immunology.
  • Proficient in ChatGPT, MS Co-pilot.

Responsibilities
