This job description is for a position on the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccines Medical Affairs team, which is part of Global Medical and Scientific Affairs within our company's Research Laboratories. This team gathers insights from external scientific leaders, medical societies and ministries of health and uses this information to inform creation and execution of our company's research, clinical development and medical education strategies related to HPV. The intern will be responsible for developing and executing projects created with their supervisor to meet the evolving needs of the Medical Affairs team as well as the Intern’s professional interests and development needs. Potential project ideas at this time include: Summarize key publications into a digestible one pager for internal audiences. Help prepare for a general input meeting on a major HPV topic area. Help create medical narratives related to key HPV issues. Assist with updates on real world evidence related to HPV vaccine-summarizing and creating key communication slides. Assist with updates on adult HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening literature review. This an opportunity to: Engage in significant cross-functional ecosystem discovery conversations within our Search & Development Division related to screening and HPV vaccination. Increase understanding of HPV vaccination research and screening of cervical cancer delivery mechanisms/costs. Increase understanding of US Adult vaccine recommendations. Increase understanding of real-world evidence trends and gaps related to vaccine impact/effectiveness.
