About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Global Support Functions Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. The Global Safety & Environment Intern – Rahway Site EHS Support - will provide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to local site business partners related to EHS compliance programs (i.e., General Occupational Safety, High Risk Work, Industrial Hygiene, Air/Water/Waste Environmental programs).

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or other technical degree.
• Must be able to work full time for a period of 10-12 weeks

Nice To Haves

• Should have completed at least 2 years of college course work
• Critical thinking, communication, problem solving and computer skills
• Ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes
• Ability to think critically about process inefficiencies and propose solutions undefined
• Prior internship or work experience in EHS field or in chemical manufacturing.
• Ability to communicate ideas and explain decisions in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and technical support to local site business partners related to EHS compliance programs (i.e., General Occupational Safety, High Risk Work, Industrial Hygiene, Air/Water/Waste Environmental programs).
