The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. The Affinity Selections Team is seeking a co-op interested in using DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology to accelerate early drug discovery. The co-op will learn how to apply a suite of complementary, modern capabilities to problem solve in support of our small molecule pipeline. Specifically, you will: Use biochemical and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques to develop new DEL selection methodologies. Screen proteins of interest for small molecule binders using DEL technology. Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to gain insight into DEL technology and early drug discovery processes. Learn industry-standard laboratory practices, including rigorous experimental documentation. Develop strong communication skills by presenting findings in oral and written formats to the department. Potential pathway to co-authorship on scientific publications and presentations. We are seeking candidates with excellent academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
