2027 Future Talent Program – Digital Transformation Conversion – Intern

MSDSpring House, PA
$39,108 - $111,111Onsite

About The Position

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research and Develpoment Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. The Regulated Bioanalytical Sciences team is advancing laboratory digital transformation by improving how assay workflows and experimental data are captured, structured, and managed within Benchling. The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on automating the creation of assay templates and recording aids used to document clinical sample testing and assay qualification/validation experiments. This internship offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of scientific operations, informatics, and workflow standardization in a regulated environment. The selected candidate will collaborate with scientists and process owners to help improve efficiency, documentation consistency, reduce manual data entry, strengthen data quality, and support broader adoption of digital laboratory workflows. Project Overview: The intern will support a digital transformation project aimed at converting prioritized Test Method (TM) documents into standardized Benchling templates. Benchling serves as the Regulated Bioanalytical Sciences laboratory information management system used to capture, organize, and manage structured experimental workflows and data. Activities may include reviewing Test Methods to identify workflow steps, data fields, and calculations, and translating those elements into structured Benchling templates supported by clear documentation. The project will help reduce manual template creation, improve consistency in experimental documentation, and future analytics readiness while reducing reliance on static TM documents.
