About The Position

Kick-start your career in Corporate Finance & Accounting with KBR’s Corporate Future Leadership Development (FLDP) Program! This two-year rotational program is designed to develop high-potential talent into tomorrow’s finance leaders. You’ll gain hands-on experience across key finance areas—Financial Planning & Analysis, Audit, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting—while building a strong foundation for your career. Based at our global headquarters in Houston, TX, the program challenges you to be adaptable and agile as you rotate through different finance functions. Along the way, you will participate in leadership development activities and receive support if you are pursuing your CPA certification. By the end of the program, you will be prepared to step into roles such as Staff Accountant, Auditor, Tax Analyst, or Financial Analyst and make an impact from day one.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and thrive in fast-paced environments

Nice To Haves

  • Previous KBR internship experience
  • Familiarity with financial systems or ERP platforms
  • Internship or work experience in a professional environment
  • Experience with data analysis or modeling tools such as Power BI
  • Demonstrated leadership or involvement in student organizations, volunteer work, or peer mentorship
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • High adaptability and learning agility across varied business functions

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a two-year rotational program with four six-month assignments across key finance functions, including Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, and FP&A
  • Gain hands-on experience with enterprise systems and tools such as FIS, Workiva, and Power BI
  • Contribute to real business decisions and projects with measurable impact, from financial presentations to global risk audits
  • Collaborate with and present to senior leaders across the organization
  • Adapt to assignments in multiple locations, including Houston, TX; Fulton, MD; Jacksonville, FL; Huntsville, AL; Washington, D.C./Virginia; and Leatherhead, UK
  • Apply analytical, communication, and Excel skills to support finance and business initiatives
  • Demonstrate leadership, adaptability, and professionalism while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
