About The Position

Rochester Institute of Technology’s Future Faculty Career Exploration Program (FFCEP) is for scholars and artists interested in pursuing an academic teaching and research career. The program welcomes multifaceted candidates with exceptional research or artistic work who can contribute to RIT’s commitment to innovation and creativity. Eligible applicants study or research in a discipline offered at RIT and must be able to travel to Rochester, New York, for the duration of the program.

The program is open to advanced PhD candidates with ABD status or MFA candidates anticipating graduation by May or June 2028, postdoctoral scholars, and early-career faculty or researchers. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The final application deadline is February 26, 2027.

Applicants should submit a CV, cover letter expressing interest in FFCEP and a desire for a career in the professoriate, an artistic or research statement, a teaching statement, and a list of publications. MFA applicants should include a link to an online portfolio. The position is listed as exempt and on campus, with a stated compensation range of $0.00 to $0.00. The hiring process may require a criminal background check and/or motor vehicle records check; any offer is contingent on satisfactory results.
