RIT Future Faculty Career Exploration Program
About The Position
The RIT Future Faculty Career Exploration Program (FFCEP) welcomes multifaceted scholars and artists who can contribute meaningfully to RIT’s commitment to innovation and creativity. The program is open to eligible participants regardless of protected status. Applicants should be studying or conducting research in a discipline offered at RIT and be advanced PhD candidates (ABD), MFA candidates expecting to graduate by May or June 2028, postdoctoral scholars, or early-career faculty or researchers. Participants should aspire to an academic teaching and research career and be able to travel to Rochester, New York, for the program’s duration. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. The application deadline is February 26, 2027. Application materials include a curriculum vitae or resume, cover letter expressing interest in FFCEP and a desire for a career in the professoriate, artistic or research statement, teaching statement, and list of publications. MFA applicants should also include a link to their online portfolio. The hiring process may require a criminal background check and/or motor vehicle records check; any offer is contingent on satisfactory results as determined by Human Resources.
Requirements
- Be an advanced PhD candidate (ABD), an MFA candidate anticipating graduation by May or June 2028, a postdoctoral scholar, or an early-career faculty member or researcher.
- Study or conduct research in a discipline area offered at RIT.
- Desire a career in academic teaching and research.
- Be able to travel to Rochester, New York, for the duration of the program.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
