Responsibilities include washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, and preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. The role also includes preparing cold foods, operating various kitchen appliances like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and testing foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently. Monitoring food quality during preparation, setting up and breaking down the work station, and serving food in proper portions are also key duties. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean and disinfected kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, and checking the temperature of appliances and food. The position also requires adherence to company and safety policies, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and communicating clearly and professionally are expected. Developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to employee concerns are also important. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards is crucial. The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, and performing tasks that involve bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Employees must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.
