About The Position
Furniture Fair is hiring a Sales & Design Representative in Greenwood, Indiana. With 12 locations and growing, they serve the Dayton and Cincinnati Ohio Regions, Northern Kentucky, Louisville, KY, Clarksville, IN, and Indianapolis, IN. This role is for individuals who love helping clients create spaces they love, have a passion for home design, and are driven to succeed. The position involves working with a team and one-on-one with clients to make home design effortless, empowering, and accessible. While the work can be demanding, it is described as stimulating and glamorous.
Requirements
- Great style – ability to use design skills to find the missing link and help customers solve interior design challenges.
- Enjoy helping people, building relationships, and sharing knowledge of design and eye for style.
- Great communicators – ability to communicate professionally, convey a great written tone where personality shines through.
- Market Knowledge – familiarity with product lines across many retail and wholesale home vendors, and ability to quickly find the perfect piece for a client.
- Sales Minded – experience in sales and the ability to quickly decipher a client's needs and match them with the perfect products.
Responsibilities
- Utilize design expertise to assist clients in one-on-one consultations in the store and in-home regarding the design of their living spaces to drive store sales.
- Perform productive in-home consultations including the ability to accurately measure and assess the client's living space.
- Engage clients in a professional and personable way that demonstrates personal passion for the product.
- Maintain a professional appearance that represents the Furniture Fair brand.
- Create and present design plans based on client's needs, style, preferences, and living space.
- Follow through on product arrivals and set up with each client to ensure a seamless experience.
- Demonstrate excellent clienteling skills including following up with clients regarding promotions, new product arrivals, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions in order to achieve and exceed established sales and productivity goals.
- Demonstrate superior product knowledge, including features and benefits of the entire design center assortment.
