About The Position

The Delivery Return to Stock (RTS) Associate will inspect, inventory, prep merchandise to be put back in stock or moved to the shop, pick, and put away merchandise that is returned from deliveries. This individual will also ensure merchandise has the correct parts prior to handling or transporting, and will make sure all paperwork from the Local Drivers are filled out correctly for all merchandise. The Delivery Return to Stock Associate will also be trained and certified on a stock picker to enable successful movement of merchandise to other departments or to be placed back in stock, all training is provided and paid for by AFW.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
  • Ability to be trained in cross over training.
  • Ability to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies including but not limited to Dispatch Track, Storis, iPad, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Positive attitude with strong inter-personal skills.
  • Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency.
  • Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with the customer service and delivery check in departments.
  • Identifying and reading reports, tickets and UPC labels.
  • Professional with good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, inventory, and prep merchandise for stocking or shop transfer.
  • Pick and put away returned merchandise.
  • Ensure merchandise has correct parts before handling or transport.
  • Verify correct completion of paperwork from Local Drivers for all merchandise.
  • Operate a stock picker for merchandise movement.
  • Disassemble and assemble merchandise efficiently.
  • Operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
  • Use a hand truck correctly.
  • Safely handle product from 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
  • Inspect power equipment and complete Vehicle Inspection Report before operation.
  • Inventory Customer Owned Goods (C.O.G) and ensure paperwork is correct.
  • Perform correct lifting/team lifting techniques.
  • Confirm all paperwork is filled out correctly by delivery teams.
  • Wrap and protect merchandise using appropriate materials before put away.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Promote awareness of AFW's safety policies and procedures.
