About The Position

Raymour & Flanigan is seeking a warehouse Furniture Repair Technician to help set the standard for the quality of merchandise customers receive. The role involves using artistic and technical skills to assess and repair furniture, including wood, leather, fabric, and upholstery. The technician is expected to work safely, maintain quality and attention to detail, and complete the furniture “deluxing” process to company standards.

Requirements

Two years of experience working with wood furniture, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
Experience with color matching and blending.
Wood repair skills, including burn-ins and wood graining.
Leather repair skills, including repair of scuffs, holes, and tears.
Upholstery repair skills, including structural and mechanism replacements.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills, attention to detail, and listening skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort working with hands and aptitude for craftsmanship, artistic work, and/or carpentry.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull furniture of all sizes, up to and in excess of 100 pounds.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assess damage and select appropriate repair methods for wood furniture, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
Complete the furniture “deluxing” process to required standards.
Follow Raymour & Flanigan safety policies and procedures and promote safety awareness.
Demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail.
Perform additional functions as assigned by management.
