Part-Time Furniture Relocation Laborer

About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Furniture Relocation Laborer to assist with moving, loading, unloading, and positioning furniture at residential and commercial locations. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Candidates will be required to enter federal government facilities and therefore must be able to pass drug and background screenings.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 1 year verifiable job related experience required
Well organized, reliable, and responsible
Must be able to routinely walk up and down stairs, climb ladder, stand, bend, and carry items weighing from 50-80 pounds
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
Physically fit and comfortable with manual labor
Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
Ability to follow directions and work well with others
Good communication and customer service skills
Must possess a valid state driver’s license
Ability to comply with all other requirements as specified within the Ecke Personnel Policies and Procedures

Nice To Haves

Prior moving, warehouse, or labor experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and transport furniture and household items safely
Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects up and down stairs and through tight spaces
Wrap, pad, and secure furniture to prevent damage during transport
Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed
Follow supervisor instructions and work efficiently as part of a team
Maintain a clean and organized work area, truck, and job site
Treat customers and their property with professionalism and care
Follow all safety guidelines and proper lifting techniques
