About The Position

The Furniture Fair Distribution Center in Fairfield is looking for a motivated individual to step into the role of Furniture Prepping Associate. This role involves prepping outgoing merchandise for delivery, inspecting for damage, and ensuring items are ready for loading. The associate will also operate trash compactors and recycling machines, and must be able to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture carts and other devices. The position is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 4 pm to 12 am.

Requirements

Must be able to assist with lifting up to 250 lbs.
Must be dependable and possess a Team Player attitude.

Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment and complies with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains a clean appearance and professional attitude in the presence of the customer.
May occasionally be asked to work additional hours/days.
Prep the outgoing merchandise for delivery and properly inspect for damage and ensure items are completely ready to be loaded on a delivery truck.
Operate the trash compactor and recycling machines as requested.
Ability to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture carts, and other devices.
