About The Position

ASR International is seeking a Furnishings Manager to oversee inventory, distribution, and lifecycle management of government-owned furnishings supporting housing and facilities construction projects at Dyess AFB. ASR supports government construction projects nationwide, from launch pads for NASA to renovations at the White House to Submarine Dry Docks in Pearl Harbor, ASR serves as an owner's representative on critical and high-profile projects providing construction management, engineering, inspection, project controls and safety services for a variety of DoD and federal government agencies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of thoroughly documented and relevant experience in furnishings, property, or inventory management (warehouse, housing, or facilities support).
  • Ability to manage inventory/distribution, conduct physical inventories per AFI 32-6000, coordinate logistics, track warranties/maintenance, and prepare plans/budgets.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills; ability to work effectively with government personnel at all levels.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to safely operate a vehicle on Dyess AFB (paved and gravel roads) and adhere to all base driving policies.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must consent to and successfully complete LEADS background check, obtain DoD Confidential clearance and CAC, and have legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • No license or certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Air Force or DoD housing/furnishings management, property accountability, or similar logistics roles.
  • Familiarity with AFI 32-6000 or equivalent property management procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, inventory, and distribute furnishings located in the warehouse and 12 dormitories on Dyess AFB.
  • Conduct physical inventories in accordance with AFI 32-6000.
  • Request, receive, issue, store, and coordinate delivery/pickup of all government-owned furnishings for authorized facilities within established timelines.
  • Handle purchase, receipt, issue, installation, warranty tracking, maintenance, repair, and replacement of furnishings.
  • Identify and report suspected abuse or loss of property (damaged, destroyed, or missing items).
  • Prepare and annually update one-year and five-year long-range furnishings plans.
  • Submit furnishings budgets to the Housing Chief as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, support documentation and reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and base policies while safely operating a motor vehicle on Dyess AFB.
