About The Position

This position is for a contract in which the Company is pursuing. This position will be available upon successful contract award to the Company. The government has not provided an official start date for this contract, but the current contract expires September. Therefore, we anticipate an expected start date of September 2026. This position is on-site at Dyess Air Force Base near Abilene, TX. The Electrical Engineering Technician position shall perform Engineering and Engineering Technician services required to develop, plan, program and execute Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects. This position shall perform all related administrative services required to perform unscheduled work, sustainment work (preventive maintenance), corrective maintenance and enhancement work which are not to be limited to: minor repair work, building automation or controls, and material requisitioning. This position will support all administrative services required to perform assigned work, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and any correspondence to meet work statement requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional relevant experience related to oversight and management of inventory, tracking, monitoring, and repair/replacement of furnishings for government provided warehouses and dormitories.
  • Proficient technical experience working with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license to utilize a motor vehicle to navigate through Dyess AFB.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of vocational or degreed post-high school education (associate or bachelor's degree) in a relevant field such as interior design or interior architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, inventory and distribute furnishings located in warehouse and 12 dormitories on Dyess AFB.
  • Conduct physical inventories as described in AFI 32-6000.
  • Request, receive, issue, store, and coordinate delivery and pickup of all Government owned furnishings used in authorized facilities within established timelines.
  • Identify and report suspected abuse or loss of property for items damaged, destroyed, or lost.
  • Purchase, receipt, issue, installation, warranty tracking, maintenance, repair, and replacement of furnishings.
  • Prepare and update annually one- and five-year long-range furnishings plans.
  • Submit furnishings budgets to the Housing Chief as required.
