About The Position

This role involves inspecting furnaces, ladles, and funnels for wear, removing damaged or worn parts and linings, and repairing or rebuilding these components. The position also requires maintaining an inventory of necessary parts and lining materials.

Requirements

• Good general knowledge of induction furnaces.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with a variety of refractory materials.

Responsibilities

• Inspect furnaces, ladles and funnels for wear.
• Remove damaged or worn parts and linings using chisels, hammers, bars, etc.
• Repair or rebuild melt furnaces, linings, ladles and funnels.
• Maintain inventory of parts, lining materials, etc.
