About The Position

The Fundraising and Engagement Manager will be responsible for contributing to the broader development strategy and executing high-impact events while engaging board members to support fundraising initiatives. This role will work closely with the Founder & CEO and is ideal for someone who is a proactive, adaptable, and relationship-driven fundraiser.

Requirements

• 4-5+ years of nonprofit development/fundraising experience
• Major gifts and donor relations experience
• Proven ability to interact and engage with board members
• Experience managing event operations
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Tech savvy
• Must be mission-driven and passionate about cancer-related work

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and steward major donors, corporate partners, and key stakeholders to support fundraising goals and long-term engagement.
• Research and identify prospective donors, sponsors, and partnership opportunities to expand the organization’s funding pipeline.
• Coordinate trustee, advisory board, and committee meetings, including agendas, materials, communications, and follow-up actions.
• Manage board engagement initiatives and maintain strong communication with board members and volunteers.
• Plan and execute fundraising events, donor cultivation activities, and special events from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Oversee event logistics, including timelines, invitations, venue contracts, registrations, vendors, and on-site operations.
• Supervise event support staff and coordinate volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
• Maintain accurate donor records, prospect tracking, fundraising data, and reporting within the organization’s database.
• Support Junior Board and Young Professionals Board initiatives through engagement, programming, and volunteer coordination.
