About The Position

Manage the new account setup and operational maintenance of Vanguard's direct indexing business. This role is accountable for the timely and accurate setup of new Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), including the validation of data completion and Vanguard's acceptance of portfolio instructions. The analyst will review data inputs (client info, investment directive, holdings) across various platforms and software, manage other operational risk-exception reports and tasks to support client portfolio management, and ensure effective communication and updates with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves supporting work and data input from other department members, including coverage and data quality validation, and actively participating in process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies or risks, verbalizing recommendations, collaborating with team members, and executing on improvements. The analyst will also participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Two years’ related work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring risk is mitigated across a high-volume data inputs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced administrative environment.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excel vlookup, pivot table, and macros.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • Python knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support process improvements efforts. Identify areas of inefficiency or risk, verbalize recommendations, collaborate with team-members, execute on.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
