About The Position

The Product Governance and Reporting (PGR) team is responsible for delivering treasury and financial reporting services across BlackRock’s global fund ranges. The team partners with colleagues globally, external service providers, fund administrators, and auditors to deliver periodic annual and half-yearly reports and advance a globally aligned reporting operating model. This role supports a broad range of products, including exchange-traded funds, alternative investment products, and other Americas-based fund ranges, while helping strengthen reporting quality, governance, and operational effectiveness. As a Vice President within Fund Financial Reporting, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery and governance of financial reporting across BlackRock’s fund ranges. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, auditors, regulators, fund administrators, and other service providers to maintain reporting quality, address complex accounting and regulatory matters, and enhance the reporting operating model. Through your leadership, you will help strengthen controls, mitigate risk, improve operational efficiency, and support evolving business and product requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience within investment management, fund financial reporting, financial services audit, fund administration, or a related asset management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements affecting the asset management industry.
  • Experience supporting registered investment companies and familiarity with reporting requirements under the Investment Company Act of 1940 preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, influence stakeholders, assume accountability, and drive outcomes in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical, quantitative, and qualitative reviews of fund financial statements and related reporting deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to BlackRock policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a key contact for auditors, regulators, and senior stakeholders, leading the resolution of complex reporting, accounting, and governance matters.
  • Present financial reporting results, key findings, ad hoc analyses, and emerging risks to senior leadership, Fund Audit Committees, and other governance stakeholders.
  • Oversee relationships with fund administrators, auditors, and other strategic service providers, monitoring service quality and driving enhancements to reporting delivery, controls, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the reporting operating model through process improvements, technology solutions, regulatory change implementation, and risk mitigation strategies that support business growth and scalability.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships across internal and external stakeholder groups to support the timely and successful delivery of financial reporting obligations.
  • Take ownership of critical reporting processes, key functions, regulatory initiatives, and high-impact projects that support evolving business and product requirements.
