Requirements

  • Experience (3–7 years) in private equity, hedge fund, and/or private fund accounting
  • Developed understanding of GAAP and foundational knowledge of private fund specific tax concepts
  • Knowledge of key concepts such as fee calculations, capital activities, and operational best practices
  • Be a team player with an enthusiastic work ethic
  • Learn all we teach you quickly, comprehensively, and enthusiastically
  • Be exceptional in your organizational and written communication skills
  • Have an exacting attention to detail
  • Be exemplary in prioritization and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fund administration software a plus but not a requirement

Responsibilities

  • Recording accounting entries based on both cash and accrual activity, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Monitoring investment activity and performance, including preparing roll-forwards
  • Reconciling cash activity and investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and critically assessing management fee calculations, allocation schedules, and carried interest models
  • Compiling financial statements, annual reports, partner notices, and tax schedules
  • Coordinating and liaising with internal team members and third parties, including audit and tax partners, serving as a reviewer of their deliverables
  • Supporting the onboarding and training of new team members, providing guidance and oversight to maintain standards of excellence
